Two new posters are on the way from my licensed artwork from CBS Studios! The first one is another in my series of classic TOS ships with “The Doomsday Machine” Planet Killer. The Enterprise and her crew find themselves fighting for their lives against an out of control doomsday weapon that consumes starships and entire planets and seems unstoppable until one starship captain gives his life and another puts his life at risk to stop the machine of death! Below is what the final poster looks like:
Of course there is a creative process that leads up to the final poster which involves sketches, concepts, etc. Below is a digitally created rough concept done to help visualize what the final art was going to look like…
The next poster currently in production is a design dedicated to the Star Trek’s 50th Anniversary this year. Below is one of many sketches done to come up with the concept…
I originally wanted to include the preamble “Space..the final frontier…” but the more I worked with the idea, it was apparent that adding the text was not going to work. So from that point, I focused on using art to convey the idea. Below is the final concept art awaiting approval:
Because I was commissioned to do this design, I was able to use the official Star Trek logos and the 50th Anniversary Delta Shield art for the design to make it official. When I received the artwork via email, I almost melted into a puddle on the floor with excitement!
Now because these logos art part of the design, this poster has become a piece of official 50th anniversary merchandise. It certainly is an honor to be a part of such a great franchise.
These two posters are not yet available for purchase just yet, but you can see all of my previous posters that are available by clicking on the link to my online store on the homepage.
Live Long and Prosper!
